The actress states that the experience working in Viduthalai Part II was beautiful and adds, “I immediately said yes to doing the film when I was approached. I played a vintage character in it. It’s my first time working with Vijay Sethupathi sir. I have already done a film with Manju Warrier ma’am. She deserves the superstar title given to her. She is one of the actresses I look up to.”

Komal is all praise for director Vetri Maaran. “Even with all his achievements, Vetri sir still wants to work hard and give his best every day,” says Komal about the filmmaker, who is bankrolling a forthcoming movie she is a part of — Kavin and Andrea Jeremiah’s Mask.

“Mask is a dark comedy directed by Vikram Ashokan. All my scenes were with Kavin, who was very nice. The set atmosphere was fun,” she remarks.

Komal played the role of Jayaram’s wife in The GOAT. “Venkat Prabhu sir made the experience of working for The GOAT very easy. Previously, I missed working with him in Maanaadu because I was doing a Hindi movie directed by Priyadarshan sir. Venkat told me then that I was lucky to be working with Priyan sir.”

Sharing her experiences on having been part of Barroz, the actress says, “I feel proud that I was a part of Mohanlal sir’s first directorial. More than a pan-Indian film, Barroz was a panworld film. Every shot in it was like a painting.”
